Yesterday Transavia landed at Eindhoven Airport from Bilbao. On board was a Spanish group with 28 soccer supporters from a Spanish soccer federation who will visit the European Championship in Germany.
For us a special group because here City Tours Eindhoven, Travel Agency Eindhoven and Tourke Self Guided Tours came together with the customer as the satisfied party. Why? We are happy to tell you below.
The customer had found City Tours Eindhoven based on their requirements and our great reviews. They were looking for a nice excursion program for the intervening days. We put together a wonderful program for the group with Spanish-speaking guidance almost everywhere because the group did not speak English. We provided the complete excursion program and transportation from their base, a hotel in Limburg. Airport transfers, transportation to the competition cities and the complete excursion program in Cologne, Den Bosch, Heusden and South Limburg.
City walks in Cologne, Den Bosch and Heusden, a visit to the North Brabant Museum and the Eau de Cologne Museum in Cologne, a cruise on the Rhine, a bicycle tour of Maastricht, visits to a Dutch wine estate combined with southern Dutch and German highlights. And all in Spanish.
All this is already a challenge, of course, but what the client did not know is that he would not get a traditional pdf with the program for the group but a web app with the complete and always up-to-date program from day to day, in Spanish, of course. The whole group will get a unique link with password and they will access the program from day to day on their own phones.
The first pages are a welcome and explanation of how the web app works. Here are important documents such as their insurance policy, room assignment with room numbers, dress advice and other important information. Next to the menu there is a question mark where there are all the phone numbers that are important such as the number of us as an organization, numbers of the guides, drivers per day but also the contact information of the group so everyone can reach each other quickly.
After this explanation, they arrive at the first stop where it is explained what time they will arrive on which flight and where they will have the Meet & Greet with the driver of the bus. For each stop there is a widget for the weather that day and a fun fact added.
Every stop, excursion, route, weather and menu of the day is added and all appointments and times are included. Vouchers and details about reservations are also incorporated. If something changes in between, we adjust it in Dutch and the customer reads it right back in Spanish.
The client was surprised and happy because he had never expected this. In this way, a few half-days could be saved on Spanish-speaking guidance and the group was able to move independently from excursion to excursion. Also, the group is fully informed about the entire program and the main person of the group is greatly relieved because nothing is left to chance. Above all, it is modern and unique in the travel world to handle it this way.
