The Van Gogh-Roosegaarde cycle path offers a unique experience where design, heritage and the world of Van Gogh come together.

This special cycle path, located just outside Van Gogh village Nuenen, is illuminated at night by sparkling stones in the ground, making it a true monument to Van Gogh in Eindhoven. The design is inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s world-famous painting, The Starry Night.

With a length of 600 metres, the path runs through the area where Van Gogh lived from 1883 to 1885. It was opened on 12 November 2014 and is now part of the 335-kilometre Van Gogh Cycle Route.

A visit to this cycle path can be perfectly combined with a stop at the Collse Watermill and the Opwetten Watermill, both accessible within a few minutes by bike. These mills are still operational and can be visited on Saturdays and Sundays. At the Opwetten Watermill there is a restaurant with a beautiful terrace where you can enjoy the view of the nature that inspired Van Gogh.

The bike path comes alive in the evening after sunset, so plan your visit at dusk for an unforgettable experience.
