E-Fatbike
Discover the area where Vincent Van Gogh created a quarter of his works and experience the places he painted and sketched for yourself. In some places you literally ‘walk’ through the painting.
This tour has been developed in collaboration with the Van Gogh Village museum in Nuenen and you will follow in his footsteps in Eindhoven and Nuenen.
You experience the places (visible and now invisible) where his Eindhoven painter friends lived and where he got his painting supplies. You can also see the many places he captured such as watermills, churches, windmills and nature reserves. Of course, the place where he made one of his most famous works ‘The Potato Eaters’ is not missing. You will also see the beautiful Van Gogh church with the place where he posted his letters to Theo opposite.
The Van Gogh Village Museum Nuenen (included)
An important part of this unique tour is the recently expanded Van Gogh Village Museum in Nuenen. The visit to this magnificent museum includes an audio system (Dutch, English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Chinese and Japanese). There is no place in the Netherlands where you can get so close to the painter. Nuenen alone has 14 locations that were painted or sketched by Vincent van Gogh.
You will leave between 10:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. at your discretion and return the bike between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
What is an E-Fat bike?
On this tough, robust and urban E-Fatbike you only make a slow rotating movement with the pedals without applying force. The speed is up to 25 km per hour and there is plenty of time to enjoy everything around you. The range depends on the pedal assist you use; between 60 km and 100 km. You do not need a driver’s license but some cycling experience is necessary. There is no throttle and there is no helmet requirement.

The web app allows you to independently follow the route of the purchased tour at your own pace. No preparation is required and you can start enjoying immediately without worrying about the route. This intuitive web app gives you access to comprehensive information, navigation, photos, address and helpful tips for each stop in several languages. If your phone supports it, you can even have the text read to you along the way.

Experience how Van Gogh lived in Nuenen thanks to the wonders of audio-visual technology in the museum. See the potato eaters come to life during a multimedia presentation and read the stories of and about Van Gogh. Get to know him as a person and see his development into a world-famous painter.
An exciting addition to the Van Gogh Village Museum in Nuenen has been added: the new interactive Vincent’s Light Lab. In this unique lab, both young and old can explore perspective and light, just as Van Gogh did in his time. Light is seen here as color, and color as light. But what actually makes color? What is light? And what exactly do we observe? How do we experience light? You can discover all this and more in the fascinating Vincents Light Lab.
You will start at our home office in Eindhoven-North (outside downtown) at your chosen time slot.
You can park for free in the states around our home office.
For groups, a different location is possible (additional cost).
You will leave between 10:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. and return the bike between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. as you choose. In consultation, other times are also possible.

Twopeople on one E-Fatbike?
It is not allowed to cycle with two adults on one E-Fatbike. The saddle is suitable for one adult and a child from 7 to 11 years old.
Children
The saddle of the bike is suitable for one adult and a child from +/- 7 to 11 years old. The child must be able to sit on the back independently using footrests.
One child on the back is free.
Please mention in comments during the booking process that there will be a child on the back.
Youngsters
Youngsters from 12 years of age or with a minimum height of 1.40 m may ride the E-Fatbike independently if accompanied by an adult.
Groups
If you are a group of 15 people or more, we charge a group rate.
We can provide from 20 E-Fatbikes up to 65 E-Fatbikes per three hours through a colleague. For a whole day up to 17:00 there is an additional charge. The price is on request.
We can also deliver the E-Fatbikes to a desired location such as downtown or the office (additional cost).
