It served as a center of technological development, where Philips light bulbs were produced and extensively tested. The name &#8216;Light Tower&#8217; refers to the bright beams of light that could be seen from the building at night, a reminder of the time when it served as the epicenter of the light bulb industry.  <\/p>\n<p>After the departure of Philips, the Lichttoren was redesigned and symbolically returned to the city. Today, the ground floor houses a trendy catering facility with industrial details that remind us of Philips&#8217; rich history. <\/p>\n<p>A large part of the Lichttoren has been converted into a hotel, where every door is a nod to Philips&#8217; past. The corner rooms, formerly the location of the elevators, are even equipped with jacuzzis for a luxurious relaxation experience.
